Meet the AvSight Team – Ricardo Mendoza
You already know AvSight has the best software platform in the industry, but did you know that we also have some of the best people? In this employee spotlight, we’ll introduce you to AvSight Support Manager, Ricardo Mendoza.
Tell us a little about your professional background.
I began my career at 17 working in a cyber cafe, where I provided technical support to users. I’ve continued in the field of technical support ever since, providing services to a companies in fields as varied as retail, banking, storage arrays, networking, manufacturing and applications. For about 5 years I worked as an Application Engineer Manager and eventually fell in love with Salesforce Administration.
What drew you to AvSight?
As a Certified Salesforce Administrator, the opportunity to support a native application caught my attention. I was very impressed with the company’s rapid growth and the overwhelmingly positive user feedback. Learning about the aviation ecosystem has been a unique challenge, but I’ve really enjoyed having the opportunity to apply and expand my knowledge as AvSight continues to grow.

In support, everyday brings new challenges. But my current goal is working toward additional Salesforce certifications.

Where are you based?

What’s your perfect day off?
Spending time with my wife and daughter. We enjoy watching movies, going hiking or camping, playing soccer, or just relaxing together.
Do you have any hobbies?
I enjoy fixing computers and electronics, playing soccer, and spending time with my family.
Where’s your favorite place to travel?
New York or California.
How do you give back to your community?
I volunteer as a soccer coach. I love to spend time helping kids to develop their skills.
What’s your favorite concert that you’ve attended?
I really enjoy Spanish rock, and have been to some great concerts. El Tri was the first concert my wife, daughter, and I saw together, so that really stands out.
What’s your most favorite meal?
Pozole. It’s a Mexican soup that’s traditionally used in celebration or for family reunions. It always brings back childhood memories of time spent with family and friends. We used to spend hours making it together as a family. It was always a lot of fun.
